Work Hive Acceptable Usage Policy

This Acceptable Usage Policy covers the security and use of all Work Hive's information and services. It includes the use of service listings, user profiles, reviews, images, and parameters for Companies and Service Providers. This policy applies to all Work Hive's Companies and Service Providers (hereafter referred to as ‘Users’).

This policy applies to all information, in whatever form, relating to Work Hive's business activities, and to all information handled by Work Hive relating to other organizations with whom it deals. It also covers all information and communications facilities operated by Work Hive or on its behalf. Access to the Work Hive platform is controlled by the use of user profiles and passwords. All User profiles and passwords are to be uniquely assigned to named individuals and consequently, individuals are accountable for all actions on the Work Hive platform. Administrators must ensure that Companies and Service Providers are given clear direction on the extent and limits of their authority with regard to service bookings.

User Account Security & Responsibilities:

Users must not:

  • Allow anyone else to use their profile and password on the Work Hive platform.
  • Leave their user accounts logged in at an unattended and unlocked computer or device.
  • Leave their password unprotected (for example, writing it down).
  • Misrepresent their skills, qualifications, or experience in their profile or service listings.
  • Engage in any fraudulent activity, including but not limited to, creating fake reviews, manipulating ratings, or providing false information.
  • Solicit or engage in off-platform transactions to avoid Work Hive fees.
  • Harass, abuse, or discriminate against other users.
  • Upload any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Upload any content that infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, or other proprietary rights of any party.
  • Upload any content that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files, or programs designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment.
  • Manipulate the system beyond the agreed upon terms of service, as they risk being held accountable and cut off from the platform.

Service Listing Acceptable Usage:

  • Service listings must accurately reflect the services offered, pricing, and availability.
  • Users must not create duplicate listings for the same service.
  • Users must not post misleading or deceptive information in their listings.
  • Users must not list services that are illegal or violate Work Hive's terms of service.
  • Users must not repeatedly delete and re-upload the same service to gain a fresh listing. Repeated abuse of this function will result in penalties.

Photo/Video Uploads Acceptable Usage:

Uploading any photo or video through this website constitutes your acceptance of the acceptable usage outlined herein:

  • As the submitter of this photo/video, it is your responsibility to ensure that all photos/videos you upload do not have the following:
    • Phone numbers, email addresses, or other contact information.
    • Any form of watermark that is not a Work Hive watermark.
    • No collages that are not specifically for displaying a portfolio of work.
    • No persons in the image or video unless they are directly related to the service being offered and have provided consent.
    • Any content that is not directly related to the service being offered.

About These Terms and Conditions:

  • These are the terms and conditions upon which we permit you to use the Work Hive Platforms.

Your Rights to Use the Work Hive Platforms:

  • So long as you comply with these terms and conditions, you may:
    • download, view, and/or print any of the Content for your personal use; or
    • If you are a Work Hive user, interact with the Work Hive Platforms for the purpose of your business activities, provided such interaction is consistent with both these terms and conditions and any relevant policies or agreements between you and Work Hive.

Linked Sites:

  • Work Hive assumes no responsibility for the condition or content of third-party sites that may be linked to or accessed from Work Hive Platforms.
  • Links are provided for your convenience only and may not remain current or be maintained.
  • The fact that we have provided a link should not be construed as an endorsement, approval, recommendation, or preference by Work Hive.

Specific Obligations for Work Hive Users:

  • When using the Work Hive Platforms you must:
    • ensure the content you submit is not unlawful or for an improper purpose and is not misleading or deceptive, defamatory, in breach of any copyright, trademark, or obligation of confidentiality, and not contrary to privacy legislation or any other applicable law; and
    • not submit or transmit anything containing a virus or other harmful component.
  • By submitting content to any of the Work Hive Platforms, you freely grant Work Hive a non-exclusive right to use, reproduce, and adapt that content to the extent necessary to operate and promote the Work Hive Platforms.
  • We may, from time to time in our absolute discretion, edit, refuse to post, or remove any content (in whole or in part) that you have submitted to the Work Hive Platforms.
  • We have no responsibility for the content posted or transmitted by you or other users of the Work Hive Platforms.
  • You are responsible for keeping your Password confidential; and
  • You are liable for all costs, liability, and expense incurred in connection with the use of that Password (whether or not authorized by you), except to the extent caused by any negligence on the part of Work Hive.

Booked Services Cancellation:

Cancellation policies will vary depending on the service provider. Please refer to the service providers specific terms.

Timely Response to Clients:

We encourage all service providers to respond to new client inquiries quickly to provide the best possible user experience. In cases where a client inquiry has gone unresponded to for an extended period, our team may reach out to the assigned service provider to ensure the inquiry is properly followed up on.
